The New York State Education Department recommends that schools review current for COVID-19 prevention and work with their Local Health Department to implement effective and feasible public health measures.Ìý The New York State Education Department currently has no plans to issue additional specific school COVID-19 guidance.

Hospitalization rates in New York are trending upward, with figures similar to what was reported in April 2023.
